Your First Visit

On your initial visit we will assess any orthodontic problems, discuss possible treatment alternatives, associated fees, and answer any questions you may have. As a courtesy to you, we will obtain a panoramic x-ray and take clinical photographs at no charge. If the examination indicates the need for treatment, it will be necessary to take additional diagnostic records which would include scanned orthodontic study models and a cephlametric x-ray. There is a fee if the orthodontic records are taken.

The doctor will utilize these diagnostic records to prepare a detailed treatment plan. This will enable our orthodontist to achieve the best possible treatment result. You will be informed of the estimated length of treatment, and the total treatment fee. We will discuss payment options and assist you in choosing a payment plan which best works for you.

Periodic Visits

Periodic visits are an important part of the orthodontic treatment. Generally, we will want to see patients in active treatment every six to eight weeks to check their progress and make adjustments to the braces. During this time, it will be necessary keep appointments, follow instructions, as well as practice good oral hygiene and proper nutrition. It is important to maintain regular visits with your family dentist during orthodontic treatment.
