Dr. Lydia Lancaster is originally from Dexter, Missouri, a rural farming community in Southeast Missouri. She then attended Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following her undergraduate degree, Dr. Lancaster moved to Columbus, Ohio, to begin her dental studies. She attended The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, graduating magna cum laude, as well as completing a three-year orthodontic residency.
During her graduate and professional schooling, Dr. Lancaster has had a strong history of involvement in organized dentistry and has held several leadership roles in the profession. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, and the Dayton Dental Society. She is also a member of the Ohio State Orthodontic Alumni Society. She currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Ohio State University College of Dentistry Dental Alumni Society. Additionally, she was appointed by Governor John Kasich to serve on The Ohio State University Board of Trustees as the Graduate/Professional Student Trustee from 2016 – 2018.
Dr. Lancaster loves being an Ohioan and is excited to serve the Dayton community. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling, traveling, snow skiing, and playing the piano. She is passionate about straight smiles, helping people, and, of course, her Ohio State Buckeyes.
